We would like to introduce you to another member of the international TOP15WEDDING community — make-up artist and hairstylist Yana Rybalko. She began her career in the fashion industry, collaborating with designers at both Milan and Paris Fashion Week. Now, Yana continues to participate in fashion photoshoots and bold editorial projects, but for several years now, her main love has been shooting weddings. She shared her thoughts with us about trends, natural versus glamorous looks, and the importance of the bride's comfort on her special day.
From fashion to weddings
I've always wondered, what it's like to be a part of such a significant event. I started my career working in the fashion industry at runway shows and photoshoots, and at some point, I felt that I was ready to try something new.
I was really nervous with my first bride, but I tried to hide it, and everything went just fine. I was completely filled with joy! On that day, I realized that weddings are what I want to devote myself to.
Making memories
I love my job for the large number of opportunities that it gives me: constant travel and a change of scenery, meeting new people, and sharing wonderful experiences with my colleagues. But most of all, I love to look into the bride's eyes, which are filled with joy, and know that I have made a small contribution to the perfect day that she'll remember for the rest of her life.
Working with the bride
My communication with the bride begins with messages, telephone conversations, or video calls, where we discuss all the main details: location, style, dress, and so on. On the rehearsal day, I show the bride a selection of images that I make especially for her, and she shows me pictures of her hairstyle choices. After that, we try several options, both mine and hers, and decide what suits her wedding look best. I try not to impose my opinion because this is not my wedding. The main thing for me is that the bride feels that she is beautiful and confident, and first of all — true to herself.
Favorite looks
I like both glossy, high-fashion looks and more relaxed ones — I cannot choose just one! I like simplicity and emphasizing natural beauty. Depending on the shoot or event, I choose either a luxurious Red Carpet look, or a light, natural, and effortless look.
The creativity
Creativity is a necessary part of my life. I try to participate in creative projects and shoots as often as possible, although I rarely post them on my page. But they help to really inspire my other work.

About trends
I love fashion and trends, I always try to keep up with everything that’s happening around me. I am very glad that light and natural looks are trending now, both in hairstyles and in make-up. When working on creative projects, I always try to follow trends and create fashionable, high-end looks. Nevertheless, when it comes to the bride, I choose what is right for her because my main goal is that she feels like the best version of herself.
