When in Moscow, we would always recommend that you go for a bridal fitting at the BoscoCeremony wedding space in Petrovsky Passage. There is a large selection of beautiful dresses, qualified service assistants, and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. If you're looking for a classically elegant yet modern dress for your special day, take a look at the Italian brand Antonio Riva.
Antonio Riva dresses have sculptural designs voluminous flounces, and spectacularly unique fabric twists — this is the founder Antonio Riva's signature style. We asked Antonio why he chooses not to follow trends, what he considers to be the most important aspect of a wedding dress, and how he advises brides to choose the perfect outfits for their weddings.
— Your dresses sometimes have unusual shapes. How do you manage to find a balance between form and content so that the dress looks like a work of art, while still being comfortable for the bride?
— My dresses are very intricately constructed. They have perfectly balanced lines and shapes that give them a strong tridimensionality. Behind every dress, there is a great deal of expertise and many hours of design to guarantee all our brides are able to wear a dress that is perfect in every detail.
— How do you create a dress from an idea in your head and carry it to an actual gown in a bridal shop?
— It starts first from an initial creative idea and then turns into a prototype. It is a continuous job that involves a lot of people, styling, modeling, and tailoring. Furthermore, we make a lot of changes between the prototype phase and final approval phase to create a perfect dress.
— Does your education in architecture help your ability to design dresses?
— I have always been fascinated by shapes, research, and the study of aesthetics. My training course has been all about the realisation of what I am today. So I can say that I have always been a designer.
— Where do you find inspiration for new collections?
— By nature, I am very curious. I am constantly searching for new stimuli and inspirations. I also seek them through travel and to discover something different in my own culture and surroundings. I think my style is very personal and indicative of who I am as a person.
— Is bridal design different from fashion design?
— Of course. In the creation of a wedding dress, the most important thing is that the design should enhance the bride who wears it. Also, the world of bridal design has completely different dynamics and timing from ready-to-wear fashion. Bridal collections are often annual and have no seasonality.
— What is the most important thing in your wedding dresses?
— My dresses are timeless. I don’t like to follow trends. What matters to me is that every creation of mine can express elegance and femininity and make every woman feel at her best when she wears one.

— Why don't you follow trends?
— I believe that when a bride chooses a dress, she has to be moved only by the emotion that the dress evokes. That is why when I create a dress I don’t follow fashion trends. I do, however, still focus on making dresses that excite and enchant brides.
